The Appear Audio Processor module supports Encoding and Transcoding of up to 32 stereo audio tracks in a 1-slot module. It can be used as either an Encoder or a Transcoder . As an encoder the module accepts up to four HD-SDI inputs on BNC connectors. Each input can contain a maximum of 8 stereo embedded audio tracks, these can be selected for encoding. As a transcoder, the module can accept audio available from any source input in the XC5000 chassis and transcode it as required. It has capacity to transcoder 32 stereo audio components. PCR/PTS alignment is maintained with Video during a transcode operation. Audio level adjustment: There is a trim of -10 to +6dBu available for each audio track. AES67 is supported.
